OUR MISSION:

In today's society, poetry is often associated with privilege. The literary market is extremely saturated, which makes it incredibly difficult for aspiring, emerging writers, lacking resources to reach large audience. This high entry point discourages many, especially those in BIPOC communities, to write.

However, poetry has historically been a tool of resistance, self-expression, and cultural preservation for marginalized communities.

From Maya Angelou to Qingzhao Li, poetry carries dreams & breaks barriers. The proVERSE Initiative seeks to dismantle these limitations by ensuring that minority voices—those whose lived experiences provide the most powerful narratives—are heard and celebrated.
